Checking Out the “Happy-Haps!”
What are the “Happy-Haps?!”
…as in the happy happenings that are going on in the movie blogosphere! This is the day of link-love for several movie bloggers and sites that have written articles/reviews that TheScarletSp1der has not been able to bring to your immediate attention! Today is your day to catch up on many other stories and goings on that just might make you smile…hence the name “The Happy-Haps!”
(keep in mind that every word highlighted below in gold is a clickable link!)
Happy-Hap #1- Nostra at MyFilmViews posted this week’s version of his regular segment entitled “The Many Faces of…” The weekly segment on his page showcases one actor or actress each week and highlights the various roles they have portrayed. This last week’s segment highlighted the famous career of one Mr. Bruce Willis

Happy-Hap #2- Flixchatter wrote an entire article featuring memorable waterfalls in film after returning from vacation and seeing a famous waterfall there! It’s fun to sit back and realize just how much the beauty of a gorgeous waterfall can increase the power of a scene in film! Take a look through some famous waterfalls and share what some of yours are!

Happy-Hap #3- My main man, Dan, over at Fogs’ Movie Reviews took the time to watch and review one of the biggest Oscar-buzzing films of this year: George Clooney’s The Descendants. I still have not been able to find a theater near me that is playing it yet, and thus have missed out on this fantastic-looking film, but Dan did! Check out his review for the film and look for The Descendants in a theater near you. (and in a theater near me…and let me know!)

Happy-Hap #4- CS, author and editor at Big Thoughts From a Small Mind, watched The Help recently with his wife and they wrote a highly enjoyable back-and-forth conversation on the good, bad, and the ugly of this film recently brought to blu-ray. I thoroughly enjoyed their witty banter and hope that you join in on the debate!
-Check out the double-sided review here: Happy-Hap#4
Happy-Hap #5- Castor over at Anomalous Material wrote probably the best review I have yet to read for Martin Scorsese’s HUGO. (Hope I’m not hurting any other reviewer’s feelings with that statement!) He really takes a look at the film and what makes it fantastic, yet not everything it looked to promise to be! Take a moment to read and join in on the comments! Have you seen Hugo yet? What are your thoughts?

Happy-Hap #6- Claire Parker continues her weekly “Festive Friday” segment focusing on one of my favorite holiday films: The Muppets Christmas Carol. Join in on the joy and nostalgia looking at some of the fun songs, memories, and moments in this instant classic featuring all the muppets we grew up loving! I love the holiday season! Enjoy! Don’t miss this post!

Happy-Hap #7- Scott over at Front Room Cinema invited the film guru “Jack Deth” to draw up a list of the Top 10 films based in New York City! Wow, there sure are a lot of movies that feature the Big Apple! Can you make a top 10 list of your own? Be sure to check out the post and add your 2-cents as it were! I enjoyed reading the list he compiled to share and that is why it made it to today’s Happy-Hap list! (I’ll bet you haven’t seen all 10!!!)

Happy-Hap #8- Last, but not least! Matt over at Matt and Motion Pictures shares his thoughts on one of Daniel Day Lewis’ best performances of all time! There Will Be Blood is one of those films that you have to see for yourself, but Matt gives a great summary on this film and it’s worth a look-see!

Well, those are the “Happy-Haps” of the day! Which “Hap” made you Happiest?! Leave a note, discuss and debate! Don’t just read and leave! Share the love!
Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!
