Today is a day to be thankful for (well, every day is). So many men and women through the years have given the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms that many people around the world get to share. Today we thank you. I thank you.
Independence Day here in the U.S. is one of my favorite holidays! So much celebration, parades, food, fireworks, etc. It’s good to take a day and remember events and people in history that have impacted our way of life. From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, from the Civil War to the Vietnam War, from Afghanistan to Korea, from Franklin D. Roosevelt (and Eleanor) to Dolly Madison, from John Smith to Ronald Reagan…and hundreds more. I thank God for my country and may God bless America.
May His grace continue to be shed upon this land.

One of my favorite movies is 1942′s Yankee Doodle Dandy. Winner of 3 Oscars and starring James Cagney as the Father of Broadway, George M. Cohan, watch it today if you can! A movie that truly is about the American spirit!
