What are the “Happy-Haps?!”
…as in the happy happenings that are going on in the movie blogosphere! This is the day of link-love for several movie bloggers and sites that have written articles/reviews that I have not been able to bring to your immediate attention! Today is your day to catch up on many other stories and goings on that just might make you smile…hence the name “The Happy-Haps!”

Happy-Hap #1- Ruth and Ted S. at Flixchatter take another moment to talk about 007! This fun reoccurring segment on the site focuses on some aspect of the James Bond movies as a whole. In this edition of 007 Chatter, the two James Bond experts list the SIX WORST BOND VILLAINS. Can you guess who made the list? Is Jaws there? What about Oddjob? Or perhaps the guy with diamonds embedded in his face from Die Another Day. Be sure to visit and tell them which villains you think are the worst in the Bond franchise.

Happy-Hap #2- Nostra from My Film Views shares his regular weekly segment on Fridays entitled “The Many Faces Of…” In this most recent edition, he takes a look at the many different roles of the one of the most popular actors of late: Will Smith. From Independence Day to Men In Black to Hitch, Smith has proven to be blockbuster gold! Are you a Will Smith fan? Ready for his return to the screen with M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth? Happy-Hap #3- Regular contributor over at FrontRoomCinema, Tom, takes an in-depth look at director Christopher Nolan’s filmography. In light of the conclusion of his Batman trilogy, it’s great to take a look at the rest of his amazing works. Do you have a favorite movie from one of Hollywood’s greatest directors? Happy-Hap #4- And, in light of more Christopher Nolan “awesomeness” Morgan over at Morgan on Media put up a fine series looking at Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Reviewing each of the Batman films, I really enjoyed his look at The Dark Knight (one of HIS and my favorite films). What an amazing film, loaded with astounding performances…least of all, the unparalleled and overshadowing performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker. Check out his thoughts on the film that preceded this month’s conclusion of Nolan’s Batman trilogy in this awesome Happy-Hap!

Happy-Hap #5- My friend, Tajuana, over at TajGreeneMoviesInReview has a review posted of a film that many forgot released amid the showings of The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, Ted, Magic Mike, and more. Read her review of the film People Like Us starring Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, Jon Favreau, and Michelle Pfieffer. Have you seen it? Probably not. She did for you. Happy-Hap#6- Pete from I LOVE THAT FILM shares an article of his that defends the use of “found footage” camera shots in movies. Do you like the found footage genre? Blair Witch, Chronicle, Quarantine, etc? Or do films like Cloverfield drive you crazy? Happy-Hap #8- Don’t miss my collaboration with Max from Impassioned Cinema as the latest edition of “Trilogy Thursdays” takes a look at the first trilogy of The Avengers Initiative. He and I share our thoughts on Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 as the 1st trilogy. Did you like Marvel’s re-invention of their characters on the big screen? Happy-Hap #9- Brian over at The Soap Box Office shares a review for an elusive film that, with its limited release, has only been seen by a few but receives almost unanimous high praise: Beasts of the Southern Wild. Below you will find the trailer for this film which won numerous awards in several film festivals this year, including 4 awards at Cannes. Brian got to watch it and shares his thoughts.

Happy-Hap #10- My friend and fellow movielover, Michael from le0pard13 shares another great segment of his series entitled TMT: a Theatre… a Movie… and a Time and shares his memory of where he was upon his first viewing of several movies. This memory shared expounds upon his experience viewing Star Wars…the very first one! I wasn’t even a theater-hopping movie junkie back then, but enjoyed enviously reading his recollection of being in line and enjoying the beginning of the pioneering saga!
