It’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!” 136
Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!
What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:
“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!
Last week’s poll entitled “Being Bad at the Movies“ has now closed with a total of 53 votes. In asking what “bad behaviors” you have committed at the movies, I found that at least 8 of you are fibbers (saying you’ve been a perfect angel at the movies! Bah!)
Thanks for making last week’s poll fun. See how close you are to other moviegoers in your theatrical offences by checking the results of last week’s poll HERE.
I wish to thank everyone that voted in last week’s polls, shared it with others, and added to the conversation with your comments!

In this edition of ‘TVT’ this week’s poll, entitled “Time for Timeless Talent”, we pay tribute to some classy thespians of times past.
Over the past century, some fantastic actors have graced our television units in classic roles such as Rhett Butler, George Bailey, Robin Hood and more. Unfortunately, as time would have it, many of them have passed the torch onto other actors who oftimes pale in their shadow. (That’s not a slam on current actors, it’s simply an observation showcasing my love for the classics…there ARE still great actors out there today.)
BUT, what if you had a time machine? And, what if that time machine could only be used to bring two classic actors into present day? Which ones would you bring to modern day from the days of their prime to once again be in a theatrical feature? Would you bring Orson Welles back to star in a Christopher Nolan film? Perhaps Errol Flynn to star in a Steven Spielberg adventure? or even Cary Grant in a Darren Aronofsky drama? hmm.
Well, today’s poll isn’t asking you to pair an actor of the past with a director of the present. It simply asks which two actors would you bring back to the present, period, to be in 1 movie each. (Sorry, your time machine only has enough power to transport you and 2 more people.)
Tons of classic character-playing castmembers to choose from to bring BACK to the FUTURE!
Tell me who you chose in the comment section and, for an added bonus, share what director or what type of role you’d like to see them play in a current movie. Would you have Errol Flynn star as Deadpool in a comicbook movie based on the character? or would you have John Wayne star in a remake of Predator? What about Charlie Chaplin as Dr. Frankenstein in one of the upcoming Frankenstein films? Use your imagination and have some fun!
Vote before the poll closes on 2-12-13. The results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”
Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

Actually I would bring back Danny Kay from any of his movies and Gene Kelley from Brigadoon or any of his movies. Danny Kay was a warm screen presence that made me suspend my disbelief as a teenager. And we all know how hard it is to get a teenager to “let go” and just enjoy. : )
also good choices. Danny Kaye and Gene Kelly were some faves of mine growing up
I voted for Orson Welles and Jimmy Stewart. I wonder what kind of films Welles would make if he still was alive today…
Welles would be an interesting person to see in the mix of Hollywood nowadays. Thanks for voting and commenting with your input man.
Wayne and Bogart! This generation needs some tough guys!
Good choices! agreed wholly. Not much promise for tough guys in movies nowadays.
Bogart and Grant. No need to think about it.
love that you don’t even have to think about it. solid picks
I guess I’m the only one who voted for Gregory Peck, heh. I voted for Gable for the other one, two gorgeous classic men
you had better voted for him. haha. surprised Peck hasn’t seen more love though, honestly.
Thanks for voting!
Bogart and Chaplin for me. Would love to see what those guys would have done in today’s times.
It would be interesting esp to see Chaplin in today’s world and what satirical films he might make about society today. Thanks for being a part!
