Iron Man2: to see or not to see.

Marvel fans, Movie fans, and Marvel Movie fans alike….GO SEE THIS MOVIE! Although there has been much anticipation over this movie’s release, there still lingers the thought that it is a sequel…and most sequels don’t live up to their expectations. Very few sequels are the exception to the rule. This movie is one of those exceptions.

Robert Downey, Jr does an excellent job reprising his role as the ever-pompous, self-centered, egotistical, and self-indulgent Tony Stark…and that’s why we still love to watch him. Supporting cast also brings this superhero tale to life and allow for the reality aspect of comic-based films to come to the forefront. (I must say, that War Machine was a great, and long-awaited, addition to the mix). The struggles that the hero undertakes against professional, personal, and powerful villians add to the sense that Tony Stark is not just a comic superhero, but….”yeah..okay…I guess it could really happen that way in real life!”

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The short-wit humor. The quick comebacks and clever one-liners! It is easy to see how Marvel is really starting to tie all the upcoming comic film titles together as little clues, such as names, places, objects, etc, are shown or mentioned…and, YES, make sure to stay all the way through the credits. THERE!!! You’ve been warned to not miss it. I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I did. Very well done, Mr. Jon Favreau.

Enjoy if you wish…or don’t enjoy. Happy watching!

  1. I forgot this movie came out nearly 2 years ago… Probably because I watch it so much. RDj does a great job as Tony stark and Don isn’t a bad replacement for Terrence Howard. Scarlett, however, is the most welcomed addition to the group for me. She does a great job playing off of the other actors in the film and is wonderful eye-candy! Looking forward to seeing them together again in the Avengers and possibly Iron Man 3. Great movie!
