“Trailer Time Thursday!” 6.17.10

Welcome to Trailer Time Thursday! If you’re like me, you hate to miss the previews at the theater! This is the place for trailers for up and coming movies that you may have missed, or that I thought you had to see! (either because it looks fun, or looks dumb, or for no reason at all!) Enjoy the trailers! Get ready for the weekend at the box office!

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga Hoole. Pretty much Owls meet Lord of the Rings. Um, yeah, I’m thinking this one should just go straight to DVD. I kinda dig the music though! haha

Super 8. Not much info is out about this new movie from Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams. I like the trailer though. It reminds me of Abrams’ other trailer for Cloverfield. A teaser! Enjoy!

Rango. Don’t know too much about this one either. Johnny Depp is the voice of the character, Rango. More news to come as the movie is set to release in 2011. Here ya go!

Predators. Don’t strain your eyes watching for the Governator in this preview. Here’s the trailer for the new Predators movie coming out next month! Can’t believe I actually haven’t seen a preview for this in theaters yet.

and, finally, Mortal Kombat. WARNING!! Before clicking on this trailer please note that there are scenes of intense violence in this trailer. It should be rated R and should be clicked on at your own discretion. Just released at this week’s E3 convention…here is the 8minute trailer for the new Mortal Kombat movie.

**Apparently, the creator of this 8min short film has stated that this is NOT an official trailer for any movie, but that it was created as a concept. The writer of this film is rumored to be writing the screenplay for a third MK movie. Seems to me, with the attention this film is getting, that they should stick with THIS concept!** click here for more.

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

  1. Love Trailer Time Thursday! I will probably being making an effort to see all the movies above and am actually pretty excited to see mortal combat.

  2. so are they actually going to make the mortal kombat movie after all? The web version of this was pretty good and popular, if a film can hold that same feel to it the movie could succeed. And when does Super 8 come out on DVD?
