If only life were like the cartoons…

I have always enjoyed cartoons and animated (computer or otherwise) films! It seems that I will never grow up when it comes to animated features. They do something for you that regular movies can’t. They take you out of reality completely, but still cause you to care for the characters as they have human qualities. It also makes it great to see some fun action and adventure that, otherwise, would probably never take place! (also, if an actor that you don’t particularly care for is providing their voice talents, well…..at least you don’t have to see their face!) 🙂 This weekend a new animated movie comes out that looks to bring some more high flying action and fun to viewers in 3D.

Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, the upcoming movie Sucker Punch, and the upcoming movie Xerxes), the film Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole releases this upcoming weekend and I can’t wait to see this animated feature! This film, based on a book series entitled The Guardians of Ga’Hoole authored by Kathryn Lasky, looks to be very visually entertaining and exciting. I don’t think I am in for a disappointment!

I love animated films. Today I thought about some of my other favorite animated films. Here’s a short list (in no particular order) of some of my favorite animated movies. What are some of yours?

1. An American Tail, 2. Robin Hood, 3. The Land Before Time (original only), 4. Monsters Inc, 5. How to Train Your Dragon,

6. Up, 7. Brave Little Toaster, 8. The Lion King, 9. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, 10. Beauty and the Beast,

11. Toy Story, 12. The Emperor’s New Groove, 13. Fievel Goes West, 14. Finding Nemo, and 15. A Goofy Movie.

I had better stop there, because the list could be never-ending! So, did yours make the list? What are some of your favorite animated films? And are you going to go see Legend of the Guardians?

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!
