“Trailer Time Thursday!” 12.16.10

Welcome, once again, to one of my favorite parts of my site! It is now time for “Trailer Time Thursday!” Hooray! This portion (commonly referred to as ‘Triple-T’) is a weekly segment on this site that showcases some of the latest, trendiest, coolest, you-need-to-see trailers for upcoming movies, in case you missed them. Enjoy this week’s edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

This week’s edition of ‘Triple-T’ brings a variety of styles and plots to the table. Let’s just jump right in, shall we! “Trailer Time Thursday Ahoy!!!”

Tree of Life. A highly acclaimed and anticipated film featuring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and the directing of the talented Terrence Malick. I’m loving the trailer and buzz this film is already receiving. Life will begin for this film on May 27, 2011.

Fast Five. Remember I reported on this a couple of months back on an edition of “Movie News Monday!”? Just when you thought the franchise was over, here come Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and actually the rest of the crew (minus Michelle Rodriguez), in this upcoming addition to the Fast and Furious story. Enter a new actor into the mix: Dwayne Johnson. Start your engines on April 29, 2011.

Take Me Home Tonight. Topher Grace takes us back to the late 80’s in this film about a young man who still is looking for what to do with his life. All content in this trailer may not be suitable for all audiences. It somewhat looks like American Pie meets Hot Tub Time Machine…only without the pie ….or the hot tub….or the time machine. Take Me Home Tonight releases March 4, 2011.

Rango. The first theatrical trailer of Johnny Depp’s newest animated feature sheds some more light on the story of Rango. It looks rather good! Look for Rango to roll through town on March 4, 2011.

Kill The Irishman. How come I haven’t heard of this before now? Val Kilmer, Vincent D’onfrio, Christopher Walken, Ray Stevenson!!!! This mafia movie of sorts presents a no-nonsense Irish hitman who challenges the mafia and starts an all out war in the streets! Whooooo. Looks tough. Will the luck of the Irish run out? Find out on March 11, 2011.

Sucker Punch featurette. Take a deeper look into the story of Sucker Punch, the latest from visionary director Zack Snyder. This action packed film is set to launch March 25, 2011.

Click here for Thor and here for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in case you missed either one of those trailers!

Saw Tron: Legacy last night! Oh boy! Will have the review up for you shortly! Stay Tuned!

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

  1. Rango looks hilarious, I might check that out… Depp probably acts better here than in The Tourist 🙂

Funny that we both posted a trailer today… have you seen the one for Water for Elephants?

Looking forward to reading your review, T, I’m anticipating that too but not sure I can do it this week as I’m going out of town.

    • Tree of LIfe does look amazing! Unfortunately, I was unable to take the time to complete my box office predictions. I apologize for the letdown. Thank you for checking on me! I will be hopeful for next week, but life just got crazy this past week. Will hit you up soon, Cap!

    • Sir Luke! Welcome to TheScarletSp1der’s Web!! Thanks for stopping by! Tree of Life looks VERY good! but as I’ve mentioned several times in the past, Hollywood’s marriage to bad and continual sequels needs to be annulled! 🙂
