“Trailer Time Thursday!” 5.19.11

May 19, 2011

Better Late than Never!! Thank you for your patience. “Trailer Time Thursday!”  has finally arrived!! (Usually Triple-T posts in the early AM, but travels caused the necessary delay!) But we are back to AWESOMENESS! and Thursdays are  indeed awesome. They always bring your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”). In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

ENJOY!!! :)

Good Neighbors. Jay Baruchel (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) co-stars in this creepy murder mystery that weaves the lives of 3 people together in a place that is not as safe as it seems. Perhaps Mr. Rogers might say no if one of them asked him to be his neighbor! Good Neighbors is tenatively set to come a-knocking on July 29, 2011.

Cars 2. Enjoy the newest theatrical trailer showcasing McQueen, Mater, and more! June 24th the races begin!!

Straw Dogs.  The horror/suspense fans may have interest in seeing this film starring James Marsden (Hop, Death at a Funeral) in a role that is a far cry from his usual comedic performances. Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) costars. Not much new by means of plot though. Couple moves to new place, to be met with folk that are all too friendly afterall. Watch trailer with caution if you’re not a fan of these types. The trailer is rather…dark. September 16th.

Zookeeper. Showed the teaser trailer for this one a few months back. Kevin James stars, once again, as the hopeful and clueless romantic. Only instead of help from Hitch, help comes from an unexpected source. Things get wild on July 8, 2011.

The Adventures of Tintin. Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson present the story of Tintin, the classic comicbook character…only this time, he’s in 3D and on the big screen. Here is the teaser trailer for the start of Tintin’s adventures. December 23rd being the date. Starring the vocal talent of Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Cary Elwes, Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, and more.

Person of Interest. A new TELEVISION series produced by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Lost, Cloverfield) and Jonathan Nolan (writer for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises) and starring Jim Caviezel (Count of Monte Cristo, Passion of the Christ) is set to launch on CBS this fall. Looks rather interesting! Enjoy the behind the scenes trailer. Hopefully we’ll see a Star Trek 2 trailer from Abrams in the near future!

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’ today! Which one has your interest?

Here’s what releases in theaters tomorrow, May 20, 2011:

  • Wide Release: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
  • Limited Release: Midnight in Paris

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

    Straw Dogs – Looks ok…

I love the ‘original’ trailer from 1971

Zookeeper – You can keep that all for yourself!!

I am pretty anti trailers at the moment. They are getting a bit silly.

Tintin (I hope) may be good too

I saw that Straw Dogs is a remake. I personally am not a fan of either one. But the Dustin Hoffman version does look creepier. and Zookeeper…yeah, I wish Kevin James would try something else.

Straw Dogs looks rather disturbing to me, and after reading a bit about the original online now…I personally despise films that have scenes of rape. Not saying that anyone who watches them glorifies that. not at all. Just that those films are not for me and I avoid them.
