June 16, 2011

“Trailer Time Thursday!” is here! Hooray!! “CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES! COME ON!!” 😀 Gotta love Thursdays! Your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived. In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

ENJOY!!! :)

Lucky. Colin Hanks stars in a role that blends comedy, romance, and…murder? Wait…What??! Dexter number 2! haha. Here’s the trailer of the wannabe serial killer who pursues his dream after winning the lottery. Interesting. Set to release (limited) on July 15, 2011.

The Guard. Quite the odd couple in this one as Don Cheadle pairs up with Brendan Gleeson in this Irish-based reluctant buddy cop movie that may be slightly reminiscent of Rush Hour! The Guard has been receiving a bit of underground buzz lately. What do you think? It releases on July 29, 2011.

Moneyball. Here is the first trailer for Brad Pitt’s movie Moneyball in which he plays a baseball manager trying to bring a team up to a winning status. Against all odds and all criticisms. Moneyball, directed by Bennett Miller (Capote), releases on September 23, 2011.

The Ward. For all of you scary/horror movie lovers, here is John Carpenter’s latest, The Ward. A young woman placed in a psychiatrist ward deals with a mystery of horror and suspense that has its roots deep in the facility she has been forced to live in. Amber Heard stars in this thriller that releases on July 8, 2011.

Planes. Cars 2 releases next week and the 2013 project from Disney/Pixar has already made its trailer debut. Here is the teaser trailer for Planes set to take off in Spring 2013.

Conan the Barbarian.  August 19th brings the intense sword fighting action of Conan the Barbarian to theaters! Jason Momoa looks great for the part, but the movie still looks like just a good rental. We’ll see. You decide.

Green Lantern Featurette. Releasing tomorrow in theaters, here is a behind the scenes featurette for the DC movie Green Lantern

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’ today! Which one has your interest?

Here’s what releases in theaters this weekend. June 17, 2011:

  • Wide Release: Green Lantern, Mr. Popper’s Penguins
  • Limited Release: The Art of Getting By and Buck

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

Are you gonna see Green Lantern, T? I probably will skip it and wait for dvd. That Popper’s Penguin thing does look pretty funny though.

I’m not all too certain if I will as most reviews are pointing to it being bad. But then again, I have a duty as TheScarletSp1der to help protect my readers from bad movies. I may see it yet!

Lucky seems like it might be doing too much in 1 movie, but i will probably check it out on dvd

The Ward looks like it could be good, and its about time Carpenter made a comeback

Yeah, not sure about Lucky yet, and The Ward looks creepy! Kinda reminded me a little bit of Sucker Punch (the premise)

Damn, those ET folks talking over the Moneyball trailer are ridiculously annoying. That will teach them studios to premiere it on ET of all things.
