What’s The “Happy-Haps?!”
…as in the happy happenings that are going on in the movie blogosphere! This is the day of link-love for several movie bloggers and sites that have written articles/reviews that TheScarletSp1der has not been able to bring to your immediate attention! Today is your day to catch up on many other stories and goings on that just might make you smile…hence the name “The Happy-Haps!”

Happy-Hap #1– Nostra at MyFilmViews posted this week’s version of his regular segment entitled “The Many Faces of…” The weekly segment on his page showcases one actor or actress each week and highlights the various roles they have portrayed. This last week’s segment highlighted the noteworthy performances of the gorgeous Natalie Portman!

Happy-Hap #2– Flixchatter dedicates an entire article as a tribute to one of my favorite movie score composers: Hans Zimmer. Zimmer wrote the score for several blockbuster and award winning films such as Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, and more. Learn more about one of the best music composers in Hollywood and comment on which soundtrack is YOUR favorite.

Happy-Hap #3– Head on over to IEatFilms to read Brian’s review of the upcoming comedic drama film entitled 50/50 which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a 27 year old battling cancer. This film is set to launch in theaters on September 30. 50/50 co-stars Seth Rogen and Bryce Dallas Howard. I am looking forward to watching this one.

Happy-Hap #4– CS, author and editor at Big Thoughts From a Small Mind, was able to watch one of the highly anticipated films this year at this week’s TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival): The Artist. Below is the trailer. I cannot wait to see it myself. CS’s wonderful review may just inspire you to be ready to see it too when it hits theaters in November.

Happy-Hap #5– Enjoy a great look down memory lane with Banana Oil Movies by taking a look at 6 favorite children’s movies (plus a possible future favorite) all adapted from books! I smiled looking at some of these films and learned extra tidbits and facts about films I watched as a youngster and about films that are yet to come, such as Hugo!

Happy-Hap#6– Claire Parker shares a list of the Money Maker Movies of 2011 so far! Take a look at the Top 20 films and the amount of worldwide gross earnings they have made. Think you know which films are on top? Think back to all the films that have released since January? Which film do you think is number 1? Is Conan the Barbarian 3D in the Top 20? Did Thor even make the Top 20? Be sure to scope out the results so far! You may be surprised.

Happy-Hap#7– Dan over Top10 Films drew up a fun list of the Top 10 Blockbusters of the 1990s! Before you head over, think about your favorite blockbuster films of the ’90s. How many times did you go see Titanic? Come on, be honest! We all know you watched it 5 times in theaters and cried every single time too! 🙂 I enjoyed reading the list he compiled to share and that is why it made it to today’s Happy-Hap list!
