“Trailer Time Thursday!” 9.15.11

September 15, 2011

“Trailer Time Thursday!” is here! Woo-hoo! You made it! Finally, your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

ENJOY!!! :)

The Son of No One. Releasing sometime this year, this thriller stars Channing Tatum in a role that looks believable. Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, and Katie Holmes co-star in this “cop with a secret” crime thriller. Look for it soon.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part 1. Here is the latest full trailer for part 1 of the final volume of the vampire saga. Bella’s causing even MORE trouble. The saga continues on November 18, 2011.

Seasons of Gray. A modern-day tale of Joseph (you know, the one with the coat of many colors?! Pretend like you remember from your Sunday School lessons as a little kid!) 😀

A young man, loved by his father, despised by his brothers, is sent away from his home. In a city far away he sets off on a new life, only, once framed for a crime he didn’t commit he finds himself alone and incarcerated. Hoping for redemption he fights for the chance to rise above the clouds and a chance to see his father and the woman he loves once again. Hope to see this one soon.

We Bought a Zoo. In the midst of hardship a family man seeks happiness in a simpler, yet challenging, new opportunity. Watch Matt Damon and my gorgeous wifey (Scarlett Johansson) 🙂 in this upcoming family film that releases on December 23, 2011.

The Legend is Born: Ip Man. An Ip Man fan? I am! One of the greatest martial arts movies made is Ip Man! Well, now see the beginning. What made the trainer of Bruce Lee great. This one does not star Donnie Yen, however, and the US release date is uncertain. Here is the trailer.

Snowmen. Hadn’t heard about this one until now. A fun family film that looks to lift your spirits. Reminiscent of feel good movies from my childhood, Snowmen tells the story of a few local schoolboy pals that fully intend on breaking the world record for the most snowmen ever built at one time on a field. This film looks very fun for all ages! Just watch!

This Week’s “Special Trailer Spotlight”:

The Most Interesting Cat in the World: Puss in Boots

(I posted this on the Facebook page for the site earlier this week, but in case you missed it, or want to see it again…ENJOY!)

Coming to theaters on November 4th, Puss in Boots showcases the vocal talents of the likes of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Bob Thornton. See the background story of the famous swordfighting Puss in Boots from the beloved Shrek tale.

To show off his legendary status, here is a little promo clip that parodies the commercials for “The Most Interesting Man in the World!” It’s pretty funny!

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite 3 trailers from todayThe Son of No One, Snowmen, and We Bought A Zoo. Which ones are your favorites??

Here’s what releases in theaters this weekend. September 16, 2011:

  • Wide Release: Drive, Straw Dogs, I Don’t Know How She Does It, and The Lion King in 3D
  • Limited Release: Restless (in NYC and LA)

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

I also loved Ip man, but can’t they leave that franchise alone. I wasn’t a big fan of the sequel, and i am afraid the prequel will just disappoint me even more.

Puss in Boots looks like it could be fun

I feel the same, and am even more disappointed it’s not Donnie Yen. I wonder why not. hmmm.

I haven’t even heard of Seasons of Gray and Snowmen, I’m intrigued by ‘Seasons’ because of the subject matter. It stars mostly unknown actors and sometimes that can be a good thing. Thanks T.

I really enjoyed those 2 little finds that I made in Seasons of Gray and Snowmen. Thank you for picking up on that and mentioning them. I hope they are good. They look to be!

    Hi, ScarletSp1der and company:

‘The Son Of No One’ appears to cover the same ground that ‘Narc’, ‘Street Kings’, ‘Brooklyn’s Finest’ and ‘Righteous Kill’ covered earlier. With a better cast and Juliettte Binoche in an non~Binoche role.

    May be worth a look.

It definitely has the looks to be good. and as long as it’s better than the highly predictable “Righteous Kill” I will be okay!

Out of all these clips, the first one I clicked on was We Bought A Zoo purely because I wanted to see the animals! Matt Damon is one of my favourite actors. This is a very different role for him. I’ll try and catch We Bought A Zoo when it’s out here 🙂

The little girl makes me smile. I love it when she learns it is a zoo.
