“Trailer Time Thursday!” 9.29.11

September 29, 2011

WELCOME to this week’s fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

Finally, your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

ENJOY!!! :)

Man on a Ledge. Quite the attention grabber, Man on a Ledge looks to be highly exciting and twisting. Starring Sam Worthington, Ed Harris, Jamie Bell, and Elizabeth Banks. A man goes to extreme lengths to prove his innocence, but time is running out to exact revenge on the one who he thinks framed him. Don’t fall too fast for this one! You’ll have to wait until at least January 13, 2012.

New Year’s Eve. New trailer for the ensemble star-studded film/sequel to the popular rom-com, Valentine’s Day. Other stars are added to the mix as more singles search for love on another holiday geared towards the pressure of needing that “special someone.” The countdown will end for this one when it hits theaters on December 9, 2011.

Paranormal Activity 3. A new and very creepy trailer for this prequel has hit the web. Please, watch with caution. This one looks to drive more screams out of moviegoers than perhaps the first 2 combined. Things get creepier on October 21, 2011.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and several others star in this rather touching tale of a young boy on a mission that connects him to his father. An independent spirit, the young boy finds a key and searches to see what it unlocks from his father’s life after losing him in the 9/11 attacks. January 20, 2012 is the release date for this one.

One For The Money. America seems to love Katherine Heigl. Here’s another film starring her as a bail-bond mistress seeking out the lowlifes. Sorry, this one looks ridiculous. In case you are interested in paying to see this rather predictable/boring film, One For The Money launches on January 27, 2012.

Justice. Nicolas Cage in another film. Yes, the “Jean-Claude Van Damme of this millenium” brings another high-octane, action filled drama to the screen. Only, this time, he brings Guy Pearce and January Jones along for the ride. (Yes, he does have another one-word titled film coming out called Trespass with Nicole Kidman). Justice looks to be dishing out sentence sometime soon. Keep a lookout, if you’re interested.

This Week’s “Special Trailer Spotlight”:

New Theatrical Trailer for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Colin Firth, and more star in this defining thriller of espionage that is already taking audiences by storm! Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy has all the makings of a great spy flick. Having already launched in theaters in the UK, American theaters won’t be lucky enough to get the film until December 9th! In the meantime, this new trailer will have to suffice! Enjoy!

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from todayExtremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Man on a Ledge, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Which ones are your favorites??

Here’s what releases in theaters this weekend. September 30, 2011:

  • Wide Release: 50/50, Dream House, and What’s Your Number?
  • Limited Release: Margaret and Take Shelter

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

Man on a Ledge is the one that interest me the most. Very interested to see how the film will play out.

My wife is a big fan of the series of novels that One for the Money is based. So we may end up seeing that one at some point. Though my wife says that Heigl is not who she would have pictured in the role at all.

I am wanting to see Man on a Ledge too!
Wow. Had NO idea One for the Money was a series. Tell your wife that I agree with her on her thoughts on Heigl.

      Thanks for visiting on Triple-T

I am going to admit Katherine looks more tolerable than usual in the One for the Money. it still probably won’t end up ebing that good imo but it does look like a step up from her recent fare.

Although i have to admit i didn’t mind heigl in Knocked Up(In fact, that is the only movie she’s done that i liked)

Man on a Ledge? Inspired by My Winnipeg?

Hello! and welcome to my “web!” thanks for swinging by!

i can see where some of the similarities lie! but I’m not sure if it’s fair to say it was inspired by My Winnipeg.

Interestingly enough, there is another film that released entitled The Ledge, with Terrence Howard, Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler, and Charlie Hunnam that I initially got mixed up with Man on a Ledge too!
