What are “The Happy-Haps?!”

…as in the happy happenings that are going on in the movie blogosphere! This is the day of link-love for several movie bloggers and sites that have written articles/reviews that TheScarletSp1der has not been able to bring to your immediate attention! Today is your day to catch up on many other stories and goings on that just might make you smile…hence the name “The Happy-Haps!”

(keep in mind that every word highlighted below in gold is a clickable link!)

Happy-Hap #1Nostra at MyFilmViews posted this week’s version of his regular segment entitled “The Many Faces of…” The weekly segment on his page showcases one actor or actress each week and highlights the various roles they have portrayed. This last week’s segment highlighted the noteworthy performances of The Governator: Arnold Schwarzenegger!! Check out the many different roles of his, and join the conversation about your favorite one.

Happy-Hap #2Flixchatter shares a look at the international trailer for the upcoming WWII drama starring Christian Bale entitled The Flowers of War in her regular segment called “Conspicuous Trailer of the Week.” Definitely a different role for Bale than what we are used to out of his more recent choices. What do you think of the upcoming film?

Happy-Hap #3– Head on over to  Anomalous Material to read Sam’s review of the political drama both directed by and starring George Clooney entitled The Ides of March. Ryan Gosling (seemingly the man of the year in Hollywood…along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt) also stars in this film of interest.

Happy-Hap #4– Claire over at Cinematic Delights shares a great list of movie memorabilia worthy of any movie lovers’ Christmas Gift Wish List! There are definitely a few things on her list that are going to make it onto mine! Don’t miss the fun goodies!

Happy-Hap #5– Brian over at The Soap Box Office shares his thoughts on the most recent reintroduction of The Thing into theaters starring Joel Edgerton. This prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter classic scared its way into theaters not too long ago.

Happy-Hap#6– Scott over at Front Room Cinema began a brand new series entitled “FRC’s Fallen Icons.” It showcases actors and actresses who, at one time, had the glory, fame, and success, and have since fallen upon lesser days of glory…YET, they deserve a second chance! He starts off the series with a look at one of my favorites in this category (No, not Geena Davis!): Wesley Snipes.

Happy-Hap#7– Max over ImpassionedCinema started up his regular segment of classic reviews this past week. Classic reviews that take a look at, not just old B&W classic films, but also a look at movies from the past that deserve mention and a second (or tenth, or eleventh) watch! He begins with a fun look at Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.
