It’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!” 72

November 1, 2011

Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!

What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:

“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!

Last week’s poll, “The Best Year Ever” has now closed with a total of 67 votes! 🙂 Click HERE to visit and see which movie from The Best Year Ever ended up being the people’s choice as #1!

-Interestingly enough, Ghandi won the most Academy Awards at the Oscars of 1982 movies (8) but received the least amount of votes from all of you (only 1)!!  Thank you to all that voted! It was fun!

Enjoy this week’s poll entitled “Muppet Mania!”

This edition of ‘TVT’ asks the simple question that calls for a not-so-simple answer as we look at the upcoming film that is waaaay overdue: The Muppets.

I am excited to take this upcoming walk down memory lane! And, apparently, so were so many stars and starlets of Hollywood Boulevard! Check out the cast (puppets excluded) that are also in this fun movie:

  • Amy Adams, Jason Segel, Chris Cooper, Liza Minnelli, Kathy Griffin, Rachel Ray
  • Wanda Sykes, Mickey Rooney, Sarah Silverman, Donald Glover, Billy Crystal, Mila Kunis
  • Whoopi Goldberg, Katy Perry, Ricky Gervais, Rashida Jones, Danny Trejo, Jack Black
  • John Krasinski, Neil Patrick Harris, Emily Blunt, Selena Gomez, Zach Galifianakis, and several more!!

Wow!! A lot of well-known people. Unfortunately, Frank Oz is not listed in the cast as one of the puppeteers. Apparently he was offered the possibility (along with several other veteran puppeteers), but declined. Look for The Muppets in theaters on November 23, 2011.

I read a funny story in the trivia section of The Muppets movie info on imdb.com:

When not being used the Muppets got placed into a large bed so that they are simply “sleeping”. One day a group of young schoolchildren visited the set and, when the characters didn’t respond to them, they immediately began sobbing and were certain that the characters were dead.

Hahaha! Can you imagine?!! 😀

Here’s the final parody trailer for The Muppets movie! It’s been a fun collection of inventive parody trailers! Which one was your favorite? Green Lantern, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Avengers, etc?

Enjoy!

Today I ask you…

Did you finally pick??! Hard choices, I know! 🙂

Curious to see who the most popular muppet is?! Be sure to visit back often! The poll closes on 11-8-11 and the results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

Kermit is the most memorable for me. This is a tough one because I haven’t seen any Muppet TV or films for a long time. But I think Kermit has stood the test of time.

Kermit has been a staple and icon for decades and is a good choice! I’m curious to see how many votes the 2 old sarcastic men Statler and Waldorf get!!!

        The answer? Not many apparently.

Although they were one of my three 😦

I’m not a big fan of The Muppets but like Dan, Kermit is the most memorable one out of the bunch. I think I’ll be skipping the movie.

Nope, not really. But I didn’t grow up here in the US. I can’t remember if we got The Muppets on our local TV or not.

I went with Kermit, Rizzo and Beaker. Mostly because they are memorable to me from ‘The Muppets Christmas Carole’ which is one of my favorite christmas movies. I’m looking forward to this adaptation even if it doesn’t review well.

I think Waldorf and Statler are hilarious but my votes went to Beaker, Gonzo, and the underdog Kermit.

    Hi, ScarletSp1der and company:

    I have to go with:

    Animal
    Sweetums
    and Beaker.

Even if Jim Henson was Kermit’s voice from the old B&W, Wilken’s Coffee ads in Baltimore from the early 1960s. To his death. Many of his other characters had much more depth.

Bit behind on my blogging rounds, but if I had to pick three it would probably be Gonzo, Fozzie and Rizzo (but the shrimp guy is very funny as well)
