Official Synopsis:

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

Official Posters:

For a debut feature film from a director (Rupert Sanders), this film looks amazingly impressive! What do you think of the film now after seeing the trailer and these newly released posters?

As my friend, Ruth, said in her own informative spotlight of this film over at Flixchatter, this film definitely looks so much darker than any Snow White film I’ve ever seen…and, yes, it definitely has my attention! (Yes, I just said that about a film with Kristen Stewart in it!) 😉

A little fun side note: Watch the trailer again! I love the Chris Hemsworth/THOR tribute from 1:07-1:10! 😀

Snow White and the Huntsman is set for theatrical release on June 1, 2012!

For a quick “comparison” look at director Tarsem Singh’s upcoming (3-6-12) Snow White tale from Relativity Media starring Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, and Armie Hammer entitled Mirror, Mirror, Check out these movie stills:

(It’s a completely different type of story, but, HEY, we can still compare them together if we want!)

Thank for reading! Happy Watching!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, T. My fave poster is of the evil queen. I’m so impressed w/ Charlize in the trailer. I’m already a fan of hers but she is poised to enthrall us in this one. Still not sold on Kirsten as I’ve said but ah well, we’ll see I guess.

  2. I don’t understand why Hollywood plays “chicken” with each other like this… Seriously, two “Snow White” movies in three months, I dont get it…

Regardless, I dont know. Could go either way on & the Hunstmen. Right?

Its got the effects and whatnot, but… something in there is triggering my spider senses (sorry buddy, LOL!) and it’s not K Stew. I dunno…

    • Haha. Didn’t know u had spider sense too! Awesome! 🙂 I had my doubts on this one, but I like the look it has. Hope it doesn’t turn out to be a case of good trailer/bad movie.
Glad to see little of k-stew! Haha.
