It’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!” 74

Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!

What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:

“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!

Last week’s poll, “Powerful Presidential Politics 2” has now closed with an historic amount of participation. Read on for further details on the anticipated results AND for this week’s new poll. Thank you to everyone who voted and made last week’s poll fun!

Well, first off, allow me to thank all of you for making last week’s poll….the “Powerful Presidential Poll 2”…such a HUGE success! It ended as the most voted on session of all time (in the history of “Time to Vote Tuesday!”). click HERE to see the original poll.

With 181 votes, 47 comments, several shares on facebook, twitter, and more, the decision for who would rule our country literally came down to the very last vote! Didn’t think the race for the White House would end so close as it did! Here are some of the events that transpired.

  • At one point in time Captain America had 10 more votes than the 2nd place contender did!
  • At one point in time there was a two-way tie for Vice-President!
  • The Green Lantern got his one and only vote in the final hours of voting!
  • Iron Man led the race for Vice-President until the 3rd day of voting!!
  • Marvel received 101 votes and DC received 80 votes!

So here are the results:

All Hail To The Chief! In a government of the people, for the people, and by the people….the people have spoken! The President and Vice-President of the United States of America are……………

The polls closed with these overall results:

    1. Captain America-40 President Steve Rogers
    2. Superman-39 Vice-President Clark Kent
    3. Batman-34 Speaker of the House, Bruce Wayne
    4. Iron Man-23 President pro tempore of the Senate, Tony Stark
    5. Professor X-22 Secretary of State, Charles Xavier
    6. Nick Fury-9 Secretary of the Treasury, Nick Fury
    7. Cyclops-7 Secretary of Defense, Scott Summers
    8. Wonder Woman-6 Attorney General, Princess Diana
    9. Green Lantern-1 Secretary of the Interior, Hal Jordan

And, The Flash…well, he received 0 votes. However, President Steve Rogers has hired him as a courier to the troops in the field.

Congratulations to the winning ticket!:

“Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Bipartisan ticket wins!!!!”

  • Marvel and DC move in to Washington, DC.!
  • Superman almost won a re-election. He had the lead for a few hours, but Captain America reclaimed the top spot!
  • If not happy about the poll results here is a youtube cat video expressing how you may feel. Click HERE! (haha)

A special “Thank You” once again to all of you who participated, added propaganda, shared the poll, commented, talked to me about the poll, everything! It truly was a lot of fun!

Whew!! Tough choices last week! This week’s poll entitled “Tempting Twilight Viewing!” is easier, I assure you!

Releasing this weekend in theaters is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1. You all already know my “excitement” for this film. (Please realize that last statement is SARCASM!!) But tons of people (a.k.a. “Twi-hards”) are ecstatic over its release.

In the event that you just HAVE to go see this one -Girls, because of your love for Team Edward or Team Jacob! Guys, (hopefully) because of your girlfriend is dragging you!

Today I ask you…

Can’t wait to see what fun answer wins! 😀 The poll closes on 11-22-11 and the results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

up next: Reviews for IMMORTALS and IN TIME

***Don’t forget! For additional polls, updates, trailers, news, and more, become a fan/follower on Facebook and Twitter.

  1. I personally am not a Twi-hard at all! I would watch it blind so I wouldn’t have to see Kristen Stewart’s usual expression on her face or Taylor Lautner-the boy who owns no shirt. Or watch it as a silent film so I wouldn’t have to hear any of their voices. Like I said, I’m not a fan!

Does the ScarletSp1der have any plans to go see and review this movie? Not likely! lol

  2. I wish I knew about this sooner so I could have voted. Wonder Woman would make a terrible Attorney General since her notion of justice amounts to snapping people’s necks.

  3. I am humbled that you, the people, have chosen me as your leader. Rest assured that I will do my best to serve our country and implement all the tough decisions you have voted me in office for.

My first order of business will be to convict Superman, Batman and Professor X of Treason for running against me in this presidential race. I will also impose the death sentence on that wise-cracking Iron Man for making fun of me in the trailer of The Avengers.

Thank you again for voting for me, America.

  4. Ahah, I love the last choice and that’s my pick. I actually went to dinner with some friends and there were two gals who I don’t normally hung out with. At the end one of them jubilantly asked me if I wanted to see Breaking Dawn and I laughed so hard, only to realize they were Twi-hards. Um, awkward… well I told ’em I’ll watch it on dvd in a big group (and under my breath I said, so I can rip it to shreds) 😀

  5. Hi, ScarletSp1der and company:

I’m pleased that Bruce Wayne/Batman is Speaker Of The House.

    Regarding ‘Twilight’,

I’ll quote Jack Nicholson from ‘Terms Of Endearment’:

“I’d rather stick hot needles in my eyes.”

BTW: All are invited to drop by FlixChatter to scan and comment on my guest review of Robert Rossen’s ‘The Hustler’ with Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason and George C. Scott from 1961.

  6. Hahaha, I love this week’s poll answers – Ruth and Jack, your comments are great!

Even though I didn’t vote for them, I’m happy with Captain America and Superman.

I really enjoyed the reading the Twilight books and I admit that I have seen Twilight more than once… I’ve only seen New Moon and Eclipse once each, though. I will see Breaking Dawn 1 but will probably wait till it’s out on DVD.

  7. Without a doubt….BLIND!!!

By the way T…I have reviewed both Retreat and In Time if you’re interested 🙂 …I would also see In Time blind except when Cillian shows up.

  8. I am very happy with the results of the super politicians race. My iPad doesn’t let me vote on your polls, but I would have voted for Cap and Superman too
