The Golden Globes “Guess Who’s”!

The 69th Annual Golden Globes are today. Before the festivities begin, I thought I’d quickly post MY guesses for the winners of tonight’s awards. Be sure to vote on my own version of The Golden Globes called “The RED WEB AWARDS” in the post that will launch on Tuesday!

Here we go! These are my “Golden Globe Guesses!” for the winners of this year’s nominees! If you wish to see all of the nominees for this year’s Golden Globes cermony, click HERE.

Drama

    • Best Motion Picture (Drama): The Descendants
    • Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama): Rooney Mara, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama): George Clooney, The Descendants

Comedy/Musical

    • Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical): The Artist
    • Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical): Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical): Jean Dujardin, The Artist

Supporting Role

    • Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture: Octavia Spencer, The Help
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture: Christian Plummer, Beginners.

Animation

    • Best Animated Feature Film: The Adventures of Tintin

Foreign

    • Best Foreign Language Film: A Separation

Director/Screenplay

    • Best Director (Motion Picture): Michel Hazanavicius, The Artist
    • Best Screenplay (Motion Picture): Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris

Music

    • Best Original Score (Motion Picture): Ludovic Bource, The Artist
    • Best Original Song (Motion Picture): “The Living Proof”, The Help

Television Drama

    • Best Television Series (Drama): Boardwalk Empire, HBO
    • Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series (Drama): Madeline Stowe, Revenge
    • Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series (Drama): Jeremy Irons, The Borgias

Television Comedy/Musical

    • Best Television Series (Comedy or Musical): New Girl, FOX
    • Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series (Comedy or Musical): Zooey Deschanel, New Girl
    • Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series (Comedy or Musical): Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory

Television Mini-Series/Motion Picture (these are all just my best guesswork)

  • Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television: The Hour
  • Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Emily Watson, Appropriate Adult
  • Best Performance by an Actor In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Idris Elba, Luther
  • Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Jessica Lange, American Horror Story
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Guy Pearce, Mildred Pierce

Some of these guesses were pretty difficult, and I think that some of the categories are missing some high-caliber nominations! That’s the exact reason why I invented my own Golden Globes. Be sure to be here and vote for my nominees on TUESDAY’s 2nd annual Red Web Awards!

    Those look like the wise choices Terrence. But we all know the Globes like to do something wild every year. Given that the nominations were mostly as expected, maybe some of the winners won’t be 😉

    I kinda lost interest in the Globes this year, but I might do this for the Oscars. Interesting pick there w/ Rooney Mara, though I’m rooting for Viola Davis.
