Looking to be one of Adrien Brody’s finest performances, this film focuses on a substitute teacher and his focus on helping the kids but being faced with the fact that perhaps he himself needs help too. 1. I did not realise they were doing another Resident Evil. Well, I shouldn’t be too shocked. It’s one of those movie franchises which doesn’t seem to die.

Out of that lot I think Detachment really catches me eye – such a good ensemble cast!

I’m intrigued about Man on a Ledge – I have a feeling I’ll end up seeing it. I’m a sucker for easy viewing action films. Oh and Jamie Bell.

The Grey… I’m just not sure about! I buy Liam Neeson, but there’s something I just can’t bring myself to think, “YEP, I’ll be seeing that in the cinema!”

    • I don’t think Resident Evil franchise will be disappearing anytime soon. I think they have at least one more planned after this one. As long as they are better than the 4th one, I’ll be okay with it.

Detachment really looks good and, while I am not a Brody fan, I might be seeing this one!

The Grey’s been getting some pretty dynamite reviews! You may have to add it to your list of 2012 views! 🙂

  2. Casa de mi Padre looks really fun, definitely one to watch on date night!

I hadn’t heard of Moonrise Kingdom before the trailer hit the web. I really, really like the look of it. Will put its release date in my diary 🙂

Oh and The Grey looks fantastic though I’m a bit bored of the Man on a Ledge trailer, it’s been on everytime I’ve gone to the cinema recently!

  3. Looking forward most to Moonrise Kingdom. It looks like such a whimsical and fun movie with a great cast. Detachment might also be worth keeping an eye on. Adrien Brody is always capable of an incredible performance now and then.

  4. I oughta start tracking how many times I see new trailers here. Always amazed. Always.

This week it’s “Detachment” looks really good, I have to say.

“Moonrise Kingdom” does, indeed, look awesome. Wes Anderson fans, get psyched up!

And I remember leaving a comment when you first showed the Casa de mi Padre teaser that the teaser just showed Will Ferrell speaking spanish and nothing else. This has more… but not too much more. Hope its good. I dunno.

    • Thanks Fogs’! That’s always a great thing to know! Glad you can see new ones here! Thanks!

It seems that Detachment and Moonrise Kingdom are the top 2 winners of the week!

ha! and I look forward to Casa being just fun…nothing more than fun!

  5. All of these are more of a rental for me. Moonrise Kingdom does look like freakish fun, especially with that cast. Kristin Scott Thomas in The Woman In The Fifth just seems like a performance I’ve seen her do so many times before.

    • You know, Detachment looks fantastic too! I’m not a Adrien Brody fan, but this cast, the story, the style…everything screams to me to give it a chance! Do you know if you all in the UK will be getting it any earlier than us here in the US?

  6. Three of those trailers really got my attention those being Moonrise Kingdom, The Grey ( I like how he goes all wolverine with the nips bottles) and how can I pass up seeing Casa De mi Padre?
