What are the “Happy-Haps?!”

…as in the happy happenings that are going on in the movie blogosphere! This is the day of link-love for several movie bloggers and sites that have written articles/reviews that I have not been able to bring to your immediate attention! Today is your day to catch up on many other stories and goings on that just might make you smile…hence the name “The Happy-Haps!”

(keep in mind that every word highlighted below in gold is a clickable link!)

Happy-Hap #1Kevyn at Anomalous Material compiled a list of the “10 Most Heinous Oscar Snubs.” This article showcases some of the more deserving performances that were overlooked by the Academy over the years. This year’s nominations will be announced on Tuesday! In the meantime, check out Kevyn’s list of some would-be/SHOULD-be winners of Oscars past!

Happy-Hap #2Flixchatter shares a look at an upcoming novel-turned-to-movie in her “Upcoming Flix Spotlight: The Great Gatsby.” Don’t miss out on all the good info about this classic tale whose 1st run at the big screen has not received much attention as of yet! An impressive mix of cast and crew, The Great Gatsby looks to be pretty good!

Happy-Hap #3– Head on over to  Fogs’MovieReviews where Dan puts his plan in motion to know everyone’s favorite movie growing up! He learned mine there (he’s just that great at extracting information…lookout Jack Bauer)! stop on in and join in the conversation as others share their childhood favorites. See if yours are the same as mine!

Happy-Hap #4– Nostra from My Film Views continues his great collection of “The Many Faces of…” on Fridays. In one of his more recent “Friday Faces” it was Nicolas Cage who received the honorable spotlight! Cage has starred in so many movies over the years. Take a glance at them in this spotlight and leave a comment as to which of his is your favorite!

Happy-Hap #5– Enjoy a great look at Michael Fassbender’s Top 10 Performances according to Tom over at Front Room Cinema. This great up and coming actor had a phenomenal year in 2011 and I expect him to go nowhere but up from here (just like Tom Hardy). Do you have a favorite Michael Fassbender movie?  Can you even name 10 of his films? See if you agree with Tom’s great list!

Happy-Hap#6– Michael over at le0pard13 shares AFI’s list of Top 10 Epics and compares them to his own. “AFI defines ‘epic’ as a genre of large-scale films set in a cinematic interpretation of the past.” I’m curious to know how your list compares to AFI’s and Michael’s! Be sure to visit and comment!
