Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”
Finally, your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived!!
In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,”here’s what it’s all about:
Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!
G.I. Joe: Retaliation (trailer#2). “GO, JOE!!” Here comes the next trailer for the exciting continuation of the G.I. Joe franchise. See more action, destruction, and excitement in this trailer that has more of Bruce Willis’ dialogue…along with more explanation of the story. Now you can know a little more of what to expect on June 29, 2012. And…”knowing is half the battle!” 🙂
Samsara. This beautiful trailer is a MUST-WATCH. From the creators of Baraka, the Tibetan word “Samsara” means “the ever-turning wheel of life” and this film (without dialogue) brings the vision of life around the globe to audiences everywhere. You are invited to be a part of this journey. Filmed in 70mm with an amazing musical score, look for this beautiful film to release near you soon. (Info provided via IMDB)
Lawless. Ready to give Shia LaBeouf another shot? I am. Especially after seeing this trailer. Lawless has tons of talent including Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Gary Oldman, and more. Watch the trailer and prepare for the movie that follows a Depression-era band of “outlaws” that is being chased down by the authorities who want a cut of their profits. Corruption exists everywhere and will begin in theaters on August 31.
Hotel Translyvania (trailer#2). Adam Sandler’s latest film project brings an animated adventure based on all of the monsters, ghouls, goblins, and vampires that have been in folklore for all of time. Only, this time…they are the threatened ones. See more from this new trailer and wait to check in to the hotel on September 21, 2012.
Hope Springs. Academy-Award winner Meryl Streep plays a middle-aged wife who longs for and hopes to spark up things romantically with her husband of 33 years (played by Tommy Lee Jones). They go to see a couples therapist (She being enthusiastic, He being reluctant) and the counselor (played by Steve Carell) offers help in their journey that may determine the continuation or ending of their marriage. Will you be springing out to go see this on August 10, 2012?
Ruby Sparks. I knew nothing of this one until this last week and watching the delightful trailer and liking the premise left me surprised and wanting more. From the director of Little Miss Sunshine, this movie tells the story of a young writer whose life takes an interesting and envied turn when what (or rather, WHO) he writes comes into existence. Check out the trailer. Sparks will fly on July 25.
Brave (new trailer). Check out the newest (and probably, final) trailer for Disney Pixar’s upcoming adventure starring Princess Merida and her fate-changing ways. Be sure to brave the crowds to see this one on June 22.
This Week’s “Special Trailer Spotlight”:
This upcoming June, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is set to hit theaters…and I cannot wait for this sci-fi film! With an all-star cast and one of the greatest directors ever, Prometheus is sure to bring back the look and feel of what we’ve been looking for in sci-fi films ever since Alien. Check out this newest feature for Prometheus which lands in theaters on June 8.
Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!
My favorite trailers from today: Lawless, Ruby Sparks, and Samsara. Which ones are your favorites??
Are you ready for the weekend in theaters? Here’s what releases this weekend, April 27, 2012:
