It’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!” 98

May 8, 2012

Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!

What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:

“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!

Last week’s poll, Choose Your Avenger has now closed with 27 votes. Be sure to visit and see the #1 choice of The Avengers HERE.

I wish to thank you everyone that voted in last week’s polls, shared it with others, and made it fun with your comments!

In this edition of ‘TVT’ this week’s poll, entitled “The Best of the Bad”, takes a look at the greatest movie villains.

Before I went to publish this poll today, I wandered over to Fog’s Movie Reviews and found that he had his discussion thread today that mirrored what I was putting together for this edition of Time To Vote Tuesday! (Ya know what they say about “great minds!”) So, I added a few options to today’s poll after reading some of the comments in the discussion thread. Be sure to visit his page and join in the discussion on his fun post entitled: Tossin’ It Out There: Who do you think is the greatest villain of all time.

You can call this post- “Tossin’ It Out There: Who do you think is the greatest villain of all time, part 1B.” 😀

You know them, you love them, you love to hate them…Movie Villains! Some just get under your skin for their atrocious acts, some are the epitome of what you wish you could be…perhaps minus the evil. Some are just misunderstood and lost souls. Others, well, they are just baddies.

Today I ask you to join in the debate and discuss:

The poll closes on 5-15-12 and the results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

    Tony Montana? A Villain?

    You’ve misread that film, my friend…. 😀

Meanwhile, from the list above I chose Lecter and Ledger ’cause &#%$ Darth Vader. LOL

Yep, Tony Montana is on the list! 🙂 I wasn’t going to include him, but then I saw him on about 3-4 other lists of 50-100 villains in movies and said, eh…why not?! So, yep, he’s present and accounted for! ha.

haha. and I love your sentiment towards Darth Vader! LOL. Good choice with Lecter and Ledger!

Ok, I voted for Gruber and The Joker, as you know I have a soft spot for Alan Rickman. Ominous but elegant and sophisticated.

P.S. Inspired by you, I’ve got a poll for today too 🙂

Hooray! I included Rickman JUST for you. Believe it or not, he’s ranked pretty low on numerous lists of great villains. But, I think he’s a pretty awesome one myself.

I can’t wait to see the poll you put up. Thanks for voting today!

Ahah, well there’s a ton of great competition here. I’d have voted for Amon Goeth as well but he’s just not the kind of villain I ‘enjoy’ watching. Great poll, as always!

I picked Hans but really would’ve picked any Alan Rickman Villain!!!! He is the best! He even made Perfume watchable.

    Hi, Terrence and company:

I went with Allan Rickman’s Hans Gruber. Also chose ‘Other’. In the form of Robert Mitchum’s double header of Reverend Harry Powell in ‘The Night of the Hunter’ and
    Max Cady in ‘Cape Fear’.

Honorable mention goes to Sydney Greenstreet in ‘The Maltese Falcon’.

Rev. Powell is a fantastic choice, Jack! Wish I would have thought of that myself.

Amon Goeth and Hans Gruber for me. I remember last year when I ran Battle of the Bad Guys that Darth Vader easily beat everyone I put against him…
