“Trailer Time Thursday!” 8.30.12

August 30, 2012

Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

Finally, your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

ENJOY!!! :)

Taken 2. Not a “new” trailer per se, but I really like it! I can’t wait to see Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills in the sequel to the 2008 thriller. Look for this one in theaters on October 5th as Mills is the object of obsession and revenge from the father and leader of the men who took his daughter in the first film.

Chinese Zodiac. Written by, produced by, and starring Jackie Chan, this upcoming action-packed and stunt-filled film looks full of amazing feats. The trailer tells you almost nothing about what the film is about. IMDB says “A man searches the world for a set of mystic artifacts – 12 bronze heads of the animals from the Chinese zodiac.” Starring Jackie Chan, Oliver Platt and more, this one may not hit theaters but look for it in the upcoming months. (You can see a little bit more about the film here.)

Passion. This thriller stars Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls) and Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo [original]). In it, a young ambitious business woman plans a sinister and murderous revenge on an employer who stole her idea for his own financial gain. Directed by Brian De Palma (Carlito’s Way, Mission Impossible, Scarface), Passion hits the New York Film Festival this September and begins hitting theaters worldwide beginning next February in Europe.

Butter. Just when you think you may have seen it all there comes a movie all about a butter sculpture competition starring tons of recognizable names you wouldn’t expect. Watch Jennifer Garner compete against others for the top prize in this film that also stars Hugh Jackman, Olivia Wilde, Alicia Silverstone, Ty Burrell, and more. The contest heats up in the local Iowa town that they all are competing in. Get ready to spread the love for this one on October 5, 2012.

The Master (Final trailer). Watch this final intense trailer for the upcoming drama that has everyone talking. Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and more, The Master is a Paul Thomas Anderson film that is set to release on September 21, 2012.

The Company You Keep. Time for the BEST trailer of the week. Such an impressive cast including Jackie Evancho, Shia LaBeouf, Terrence Howard, Robert Redford and more. Directed by Redford himself, IMDB’s summary of this film is as follows: “A thriller centered on a former Weather Underground activist who goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity.” Look for this exciting thriller to hit theaters around the world between November (in Italy) and the summer of 2013.

Spotlight Trailer of the Week.

How The Dark Knight Rises Should Have Ended

The crew over at HISHEdotcom have created another fun video based on their idea of how movies should have ended. This time, their looking at Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. These are always fun! As usual, you should NOT watch this if you haven’t seen the movie itself. *SPOILER ALERT. Enjoy.

What do you think? Are you excited to see this?

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: Passion, The Company You Keep and The Master. Which ones are your favorites??

Are you ready for the weekend in theaters? Here’s what releases this weekend, August 31, 2012:

  • Wide Release: The Possession and Lawless (released 8/29)
  • Limited Release: For a Good Time, Call; The Tall Man; Little Birds and more.

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

How the Dark Knight Rises should have ended is an awesome share. LOL.

It’s distinctly the highlight of this week’s crop of embeds 😉

I think I would have prefered any of those endings!
