“Trailer Time Thursday!” 9.27.12

September 27, 2012

Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

Finally, your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”) has arrived!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

Check them out and ENJOY!!! :)

Trailers:

Stoker. Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode star in this “Hamlet-esque” story that centers around a young girl whose father passes away and whose mother immediately attaches herself to a mysterious “uncle” she never knew of before. The ulterior motives come more and more to light with a limited release on March 1, 2013.

42. Brooklyn Dodgers legend Jackie Robinson’s biopic comes to the big screen under the direction of Brian Helgeland (Man on Fire, Mystic River). Starring Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, and others, and utilizing several well-known events and conversations in Robinson’s life, this legend of a true American hero hits theaters on April 12, 2013.

Paranormal Activity 4 (trailer#2). The fourth of the series takes a look back at where it began and attempts to tie the paranormal events all together. More will be unveiled in this creepy movie on October 19, 2012.

Winnie. Terrence Howard stars as Nelson Mandela. But this movie centers around his wife Winnie (played by Jennifer Hudson) who rallied the people and worked on his behalf while he was imprisoned. Not certain of the exact release date, as some sites report it released in 2011, while there are still future release dates announced. Albeit, this is the first I’ve seen of it and opted to share. Look for it soon.

Promised Land. Interestingly enough, this movie seems to make us choose between two actual life friends (Matt Damon and John Krasinski). Damon stars as a natural gas company salesman who has a successful track record of “enabling” small failing farm towns to sell out to their company. Only, this town doesn’t seem to want to sell out so quickly. All may not be milk and honey in the Promised Land. See for yourself on January 11, 2013.

Identity Thief. Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy star in this comedy in which a man, victimized by identity theft, seeks out the alleged pilferer and proceeds to exact revenge…in a not-so effective manner. Check out the trailer and get ready for the laughs on February 8, 2013.

Life of Pi (trailer#2). Every trailer I see for this movie completely captivates me. This movie centers around the story of a young man whose life takes a big adventure when a shipwreck puts him on a path of survival…with various exotic animals from his parents’ zoo. Watch this trailer…it’s so beautiful. Ang Lee’s Life of Pi releases on November 21, 2012.

Spotlight Trailer of the Week:

How The Amazing Spider-Man Should Have Ended

Just when you’re not sure how the crew at HISHEdotcom could keep coming up with good ideas for movie endings, they bring another one that entertains immensely. You all know that I am a BIG Spider-Man fan and this version of how the latest movie should have ended is so clever! I laughed throughout. I don’t recommend watching if you haven’t seen the movie yet (for obvious reasons), but for a good laugh, watch the clip!

What do you think?

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: Life of Pi, 42, and Identity Thief. Which ones are your favorites??
