Zero Dark Thirty (final trailer). The manhunt for Osama bin Laden is the focus of this thriller from Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow. Starring Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton and more, this film is receiving tons of attention lately. Already nominated for four Golden Globes, Zero Dark Thirty is set for a wide release on January 11, 2013.

Pain & Gain. Michael Bay directs Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie and Tony Shaloub in this heist movie about money and muscles. An extortion attempt goes a little haywire when Daniel Lugo (Wahlberg) and pals use their brawn to kidnap a hated wealthy man. Get ready to hit the gym on April 26, 2013.

The Great Gatsby (trailer#2). This second theatrical trailer for the latest rendition of the F. Scott Fitzgerald book is here. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and several others, Baz Luhrman (director of Moulin Rouge) brings this story to life once more in his visual and musical way. After being pushed back from its original December 25, 2012 release date, look for this one to hit theaters on May 10, 2013.

Star Trek Into Darkness (trailer#2). After the first trailer came another. Check out this pretty sweet trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness that, it seems, the entire world is waiting to see. Kirk and crew return with more to defend, more to lose, and more enemies. Star Trek Into Darkness, directed by J.J. Abrams, is set to release on May 17, 2013.

The Smurfs 2. Ah, yes. Knew it was coming. Here is the first full trailer for the sequel to 2011’s Smurfs. The blue team must work with their human friends to rescue the kidnapped Smurfette. Get ready for the adventure that the family can enjoy on July 31, 2013.

To The Wonder. This latest project from director Terrence Malick will undoubtedly become instant classics to fans of his The Tree of Life. (If you are like me, then that means you may not like it). Here’s the synopsis from IMDB:

After visiting Mont Saint-Michel, Marina and Neil come to Oklahoma, where problems arise. Marina meets a priest and fellow exile, who is struggling with his vocation, while Neil renews his ties with a childhood friend, Jane.

Starring Rachel McAdams, Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem (who narrates this trailer), Olga Kurylenko and more, To The Wonder releases on April 12, 2013.

Spotlight Video of the Week:

Featurett for Parkerparker-movie

Check out this quick featurette for Parker which is based on the character from the popular set of books. Jason Statham stars as the title character in this film about the hero (or anti-hero if you will) with a code. Jennifer Lopez also stars in the thriller that is directed by Taylor Hackford who directed Proof of Life, Ray, The Devil’s Advocate and Blood In Blood Out. Look for it on January 25, 2013.

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: The Great Gatsby, Star Trek Into Darkness and Zero Dark Thirty. Which ones are your favorites??

    • Zero Dark Thirty didn’t seem like a movie I could be excited about, but I am intrigued only because of all the attention it has been getting. I do like this trailer for it.

so, I’m guessing that Moulin Rouge is not on your list of top musicals then? 😉

  1. I’m definitely seeing Zero dark Thirty but the final trailer should have more of an epic, emotional kick. The scene where they close in on the building is suspenseful but the music and the moments chosen for the rest of the promo are pretty tame.
