“Trailer Time Thursday!” 1.3.13

January 3, 2013

Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

Here is your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”)!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

Check them out and ENJOY!!! :)

Trailers:

Dead Man Down. Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace team up with the director of the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in this action cat-and-mouse thriller of a crime lord in NYC who hunts down a previous right hand man of his who has fallen to the woos of a previous victim in search of retribution. Check it out and look for the film on March 8, 2013.

Unfinished Song. I posted this trailer a few months back when it was called “A Song for Marion”, but it is being referred to as the “first new trailer” online, so here goes the “new” trailer for Unfinished Song starring Gemma Arterton as a singing instructor for a retirement home. She has her work cut out for her when a grumpy old man joins her choir, reluctantly. Will you be singing its praises? Look for it on February 8, 2013.

Vehicle 19. Paul Walker behind the wheel again…only this time in a vehicle he wish he never stepped into. Things get out of control when a traveler picks up a rental car and is immediately transported into a dangerous situation full of corrupt police who are now targeting him…along with his new travelling companion. Look for this thriller sometime in the next several months.

Scary Movie 5. The spoof franchise continues. If you watch the movies, then you know already what to expect. Nothing new here folks. As a matter of fact, you can go right next to the next trailer if you want. If you’re even interested in seeing this movie, avoid the trailer so you can save all the “funny” parts for the actual movie itself. And you’ll have that chance on April 12, 2013.

Monsters University (TV spot). I quite like the feel of this tv spot for Monsters University. Looking to go back to school? This ad on tv may just make Monsters U the first college choice on your list! Mike and Sully return and take us back in time to their college days. Enrollment begins on June 21, 2013.

A Good Day to Die Hard. Here’s the newest trailer for the next installment of Die Hard. John McClane catches up with his 007-ish son in Moscow and together they go up against a terrorist organization that hates America. Check out the latest trailer (it may not work as Century Fox keeps pulling it down today. If that’s the case, I’ll update it later on). The day to die is February 14, 2013.

Spotlight Video of the Week:

Guillermo del Toro introduces the inspiration for MAMAmama

Check out this quick vid in which director Guillermo del Toro introduces the short film that inspired his upcoming full-length feature film of the same name. His version of Mama stars Jessica Chastain and is a thriller that will surely raise the hairs on the back of your neck. Watch what inspired him in the vid below and look for Mama in theaters on January 18, 2013.

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: Dead Man Down, Vehicle 19 and A Good Day to Die Hard. Which ones are your favorites??

I’m working on my Most-Anticipated list for the next 6 months and a few of the trailers here made the list. That Monsters University one is soooo cute!! Can’t wait for the Mike & Sully duo lighting up the screen once again.

I was surprised to see Scary Movie 5 here. It is destined to be very bad but I did find the Inception/Leo DiCaprio/dream-machine joke funny.
