Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”
Here is your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”)!!
In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:
Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!
***A rather odd random mix of trailers today. Not too much came out this week trailer-wise. Check them out and ENJOY!!!
Admission (trailer#2). The 2nd trailer for this dramedy starring Tina Fey as an uptight college admissions officer at Princeton who gets thrown for a loop when an student’s application comes to her attention at the behest of the student’s mentor played by Paul Rudd. And to tie it up all nicely, the student in question just may be closer to her than she is willing to accept. The bell rings on this one on March 8th.
The Last Exorcism 2. I love when titles say both “Last” and “part 2.” 😀 Here comes the sequel to 2010’s The Last Exorcism in which Nell Sweetzer tries to rebuild her life after the events of the possession in the first one…only evil finds her once again. Apparently the exorcism didn’t quite work. I’ll let you horror fans go check this one out on March 1st. I won’t be there.
Side Effects (trailer#2). Rooney Mara (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), Channing Tatum, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jude Law and more star in this thriller about a woman who, to cope with her husbands recent incarceration and pending release, turns to a prescription medication with unexpected side effects. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Contagion, Haywire, Magic Mike, Ocean’s Eleven, The Informant), this film looks confusingly interesting to say the least. Look for it on February 8.
Speaking of confusingly interesting….
Wrong. Director Quentin Dupieux (Director of Rubber) brings an interesting tale of a man who wakes up and finds his dog is missing. His adventure to find his lost companion leads him to several different characters who help him along the way. However, it is HIS impact on THEIR lives that turns out to be the bigger story, only, his help may or may not be at the expense of his sanity. This could be some fun adventure! Check out the trailer and see if I’m “wrong.”
Girls Against Boys. February 1st brings this girls’ story of revenge against guys as two bartenders go on a rampage seeking revenge against guys who have mistreated them and had their way with them. Pretty cut and dry. This horror-esque film stars practically no one you may recognize and sets out to make you cringe more than just a couple times and to attempt to make you cheer probably just as much.
Pacific Rim (trailer#2). This 2nd trailer premiered at this week’s CES show and director Guillermo del Toro has me excited to see this movie. It’s something I’ve been wanting for a while: Big robots to fight Big monsters! Go Go Power Rangers/Voltron/Evangelion/Godzilla and more! This one may or may not pique your interest, but it definitely looks like one crazy hard-hitting time! Can’t wait to enjoy the entertainment on July 12.
Spotlight Video of the Week:
Check out this featurette for the upcoming film that centers around the story of baseball legend Jackie Robinson. Starring Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, Alan Tudyk under the direction of Brian Helgeland (A Knight’s Tale), 42 tells the story of the pioneering history maker who wowed a people, a team, a league and a nation.
Look for it on April 12, 2013.
Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!
My favorite trailers from today: Pacific Rim, Wrong and 42. Which ones are your favorites??
