Check them out and ENJOY!!!
Day of the Falcon. Originally entitled “Black Gold,” this film has already been released in numerous countries around the world since 2011 and finally releases in the US soon. Antonio Banderas and Mark Strong star as leaders of rival Arab states in the 1930s at the beginning of the oil-industry boom. The story follows a young prince torn between two schools of thought from both his father and father-in-law in the middle of fights for love, loyalty and lining one’s pockets with gold. Freida Pinto also stars in this March 2013 release.
Olympus Has Fallen. Leonidas, under orders from Lucius Fox, tries to rescue Two-Face in the White House after it has been taken over by terrorists. Sound fun? May not be as good as it seems. This trailer packs some action along with some pretty bad CGI to introduce the first of two “Siege on 1600” movies of the year. Aaron Eckhart, Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melisaa Leo, Ashley Judd and more star in this March 22, 2013 release.
The Sweeney. Ray Winstone (The Departed), Damien Lewis (Homeland), Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) and more star in this film based on the 70’s UK tv series about a group of ruthless police on a crusade to rid their city of criminals through all but less than approved means. Tough, gruff beat ’em up stuff! Look for The Sweeney on March 1, 2013.
Evil Dead. From the producers that brought you the original cult classic horror, here is the first green band theatrical trailer for the remake of Evil Dead that promises to bring all of the same horror and cringe-worthy moments as the original…and perhaps even more. Look for this disturbing film to hit theaters on April 12, 2013.
Emperor. Tommy Lee Jones stars as General Douglas MacArthur as the Japanese surrender at the end of WWII. He then assigns General Fellers (Alex Cross‘s Matthew Fox) with the task of finding and deciding the Japanese Emperor Hirohito’s fate (to be hanged or not to be hanged). Fellers faces conflict between his call to duty and the call of his heart. Check out the trailer and look for it on March 8, 2013. (Fox’s involvement makes me hesitate on this one.)
The Brass Teapot. Juno Temple stars in this comedy about a couple, strapped for cash, who come upon a magic teapot that spits out tons of money whenever they manage to hurt themselves. Oh what adventures ensue as they go to extreme lengths to keep the money flowing. What would you do? Watch the trailer for a glimpse into their story that releases this April.
Two additional trailers:
- At Any Price: starring Dennis Quaid, Zac Efron, Heather Graham. “A farming family’s business is threatened by an unexpected crisis, further testing the relationship between a father and his rebellious son.” -IMDB. Check it out HERE.
- RED 2 starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and more! Check it out HERE.
Spotlight Video of the Week:
You all need to see this. Remember the near-6min trailer for Cloud Atlas? A mashup trailer putting the audio of Cloud Atlas over clips from the Back to the Future trilogy has hit the web and it is pretty amazing. YouTube keeps pulling it so I had to include a link for you to watch it elsewhere. It really is ingenious. Check it out, even if you weren’t a fan of Cloud Atlas. (If you’re not a fan of Back to the Future, well, let’s just say there is little hope for you) 😉
Enjoy! Click >>HERE << to check it out!
Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!
My favorite trailers from today: Emperor, The Sweeney and the Mashup trailer video. Which ones are your favorites??
