It’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!” 142

Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!

What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:

“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!

Last week’s poll entitled Movie Character Fight Club: Rnd 4 has now closed with an average of 19 votes per poll. Some great battles ensued last week pitting character against character. The results are in from the 8 fights put before you. Be sure to click the photo below to see the results of last week’s round of the “Movie Character Fight Club.”fight-12

Some of the battles were pretty close. Fun to see the overall results in battles such as Tom Hardy, Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Lawrence! Don’t miss seeing who won and look out for the tentative final round #5 in a few weeks to come! (Last week’s results HERE)

I wish to thank everyone that voted in the polls, shared the post with others, and added to the conversation with your comments. Thank you.

This week’s edition of ‘TVT’ presents: “Amazing Archers of the 21st Century”

I was all prepared to bring you a poll about actors who believably played vampire roles or bad guys that should’ve won at the end of a movie or what superhero Bruce Willis should play as (seeing as it is his 58th birthday today). Happy Birthday, Bruce…I still think you would make a good supervillian “Mysterio.”Bruce Willis5

But, last night, one of my friends posted a pic on Facebook that had a caption with a smug comment from Legolas towards Hawkeye about who has the better skill in archery.legolas_vs_hawkeye_by_eduardo16002-d552v4q

Right then, I knew I had to bring this argument to you and I began to look at archers in movies to see who I might choose myself as the best. From Errol Flynn’s Robin Hood to Daffy Duck’s stint as Robin Hood to Hawkeye in The Avengers and Katniss in The Hunger Games. There are waaaayyy too many archers to choose from! So, for the purpose of today’s poll, I narrowed it down for you to choose from movies after 2000.

And, rather than choose “the BEST,” you can choose who your favorite movie archer is from movies after the year 2000. (If their being “the best” in your eyes makes them your favorite then vote as such, but perhaps Theseus is your favorite because of his great looks or his speech-giving ability as opposed to his skill…then feel free to vote for him because of that instead.)  Be as superficial as you want! 😉

SO…Making it fun and mixing it up as usual vote for your TWO “favorites”…not necessarily for the “BEST.” (I already expect several votes for Merida as their seems to be an odd amount of love out there for Pixar’s mediocre animated film of last year! I admit though, she has some amazing hair!) 😀

Certain archers are not options in the poll such as Elektra, Abigail Whistler in Blade Trinity, Guinevere in King Arthur, Kevin in We Need To Talk About Kevin, etc. But, if you feel that you just need to vote for one of them or such-like, you can use the “Other” option and tell us who you chose.

Today I ask you

Was it tough for you to choose? Was it no contest at all? Who did you choose and why? Leave a comment!

I can’t wait to see the results next week of this one for sure! Legolas, Hawkeye, Katniss and more are all “aiming” for the “target” of being #1. Which one hits the bullseye in your book? Be sure to vote before the poll closes on 3-26-13. The results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”

Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!

  1. I was gonna go with Merida and Legolas but then you have to put a photo of shirtless Henry there as Theseus, I mean who do you think I ended up voting for?? 😉 Nice one this week, T!

  2. I had to go with Kat for superficial reasons (she’s cute as all get out). As a side note, I know a few archers in real life and I just don’t understand this love for hawkeye…

  3. Hi, Terrence and company:

Never had much use for archers.

Coolest use of a crossbow would be Richard Harris using one at a distance with cyanide inside its split bolts to take out guards quietly before a raid in ‘The Wild Geese’ (1978).

  4. for me…No contest at all! Legolas wins all the way 😉

fun poll, T . I remember less than 2months ago, you put polls which weren’t my kind of thing, and then I forgot to visit back afterward…sorry.
