In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

Check them out and ENJOY!!! :)

Welcome to the Punch. This new trailer shows more of the cast and seeing all those involved has me even more intrigued to watch this story of a police detective hot on the trail of his most elusive fugitive. James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) stars as detective Max Lewinsky during his last chance to grab the ex-criminal who got away. Using his hospitalized son for bait, will he finally nab the “one that got away” or will it lead to more unexpected danger and disappointment? I’m betting on the latter. Co-starring Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion), David Morrissey (The Governor from AMC’s The Walking Dead) and more, look for the punches to be thrown on March 27, 2013.

Trance. This must be “James McAvoy trailer day” as he is featured in this Danny Boyle (127 Hours) film as well. This time he stars with Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel in a thriller of a story about “an art auctioneer who has become mixed up with a group of criminals partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.” (quote from IMDB). Releasing first in the UK, this one hits limited US theaters on April 5, 2013.

Turbo. The animated family film starring the little snail that could looks full of everything we see in so many other family films, but Dreamworks expects to see audiences racing to watch this tale of a snail who was off to the races after a series of events gives him the power of super-speed. Starring the vocal talent of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Maya Rudolph, Samuel L. Jackson and more, start your engines and race to theaters on July 17, 2013 for this one.

The Colony. Threats come from more than just the nasty weather when a new “ice age” forces the remaining survivors of humanity to flee underground in order to stay alive. Separated by cold tough terrain, one outpost of survivors must fight in order to preserve all they have worked for and the fate of humanity…only, it’s not the savagery of nature they must contend with. Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton star in this April 12 release. The trailer tells a bit TOO much of the story IMO, but…here it is nonetheless.

Despicable Me 2. A Great new trailer for the sequel to one of my favorite animated films of late. Gru is back and his evil genius is put to the test as he is “volun-told” to help save the world from a new villain that has surfaced. Full of smiles and laughter, this trailer really gets me excited to see Gru, the girls, the minions and more once again. I expect the movie itself to be full of the same enjoyment. Look for it on July 3, 2013!

The Place Beyond the Pines. Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne, Bruce Greenwood…Look at that cast! Director Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine) brings the story of a motorcycle stunt rider who resorts to robbing banks in order to provide for his newborn son. He crosses paths with a rookie cop trying to “do his job” but struggling among a department led by a corrupt detective. Already in some European markets, this one releases limitedly in the US on March 29.

Star Trek Into Darkness (int’l trailer). Needing no introduction, here is the newest international trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness with more footage, destruction and action! Get ready for the trek to begin on May 17, 2013!

Spotlight Video of the Week:

Lego Star Trek Into Darkness trailerlegostartrek

Check out this very creative recreation of the original Star Trek Into Darkness trailer done “Lego Style” by fan Antonio Toscano who has also done a pretty amazing version of the Man of Steel trailer!  I love all the attention to detail he put into this, including the necessary trademark lens flare throughout! Fantastic work. Watch and enjoy the results of some impressive talent. Plus, who doesn’t love legos (except when you step on them barefoot)?

Great use of Lego bricks! Amazing 🙂

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: (So tough to choose just 3) Despicable Me 2, Trance and Star Trek Into Darkness. Which ones are your favorites??

up next: New Posters of the Week

  1. Hopefully I get to see place beyond the pines on the 29th!

Also, who is the blonde babe in Star Trek? Every trailer they got her lookin all pretty and schtuff.

  2. It’s never too many James McAvoy movies, ahah. I hope one day he’d do a movie with Gerry Butler, I mean they might as well play brothers they look so similar. Perhaps James could teach GB to actually READ a script these days!

  3. Lawrence Fishburne really needs to rethink his priorities, post “CSI”.

“Trance” looks and feels far too complicated to not have huge plot holes.

Never been a fan of the “Star Trek” films. Even with Shatner, Nimoy and company.

“Despicable Me 2” looks like fun. In a minion-y sort of way.

    • Oh man, you’re not kidding about Fishburne. 😦

I was thinking the same a bit about Trance. A little ambitious perhaps. We’ll see.

No Star Trek for you? Whaaa??? :O

I really can not wait for Despicable Me 2. I loved the first one so much and think I will feel the same about the sequel. Thanks for the comment my friend
