Here is your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”)!!
In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:
Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!
Check them out and ENJOY!!!
Kick-A$$ 2. Here’s the official green-band theatrical trailer for the sequel of the self-proclaimed costumed heroes of the 2010 release. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Jim Carrey, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and more, the costumed heroes now face threats from the law and a newly named rising supervillain who promises revenge. Jim Carrey looks to really make this film even more fun than the first. Get ready for the beat downs on August 16.
Now You See Me (trailer#2). The cast for this movie is a magic show in and of itself. Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Common, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson and more star in this film! Wow! Follow a team of FBI agents looking to bring down a highly talented group of magicians whose bank robbing heists seem to lead up to the biggest show of all. Their Robin Hood acts of taking money and giving it back to the people may soon be over. Be sure to look out for Now You See Me in theaters on May 31.
Caroline & Jackie. What was supposed to be a nice evening among friends and family turns into an evening of insults, hurt feelings, accusations and more (so, your usual family gathering! haha). Only, the ones who seem to be in the need of help, may not be the ones who need it most as revelations of illness and more are made in this upcoming drama that has already been released in film festivals but receives a limited theatrical release on May 3. (It stars several not-so familiar actors alongside Grimm‘s David Giuntoli).
Oblivion (new featurette). Check out this latest featurette for the upcoming sci-fi film Oblivion starring Tom Cruise. It’s an amazing behind the scenes look at the story presented via film by director Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy). This is one film that I cannot wait to see. Starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and more, look for Oblivion on April 19. In the meantime, enjoy this pretty sweet look at what to expect from the world of Oblivion.
Elysium. Neill Blomkamp, director and writer of District 9, brings another astounding futuristic thriller starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and others in Elysium. The year is 2159 and the world lies in a great state of poverty with the exception of a man-made space station in which the wealthy reside and find luxury and amenities dared to be imagined by those below. One man takes on the dangerous mission to bring equality to the two populations and sets out to do all that is necessary in order to do so. Get ready for this amazing action film and visit Elysium on August 9, 2013.
Rush. Directed by Ron Howard, here is the first trailer for the biographical story of Formula 1 racer Niki Lauda, who, after a crash in 1976 that nearly claimed his life got right back behind the wheel weeks later to race rival James Hunt. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Olivia Wilde, Natalie Dormer and more, this highspeed story races to the big screen on September 20.
Spotlight Video of the Week:
Check out this 7-min short film that is a definite must-see. A quick story with such a powerful telling of a father, in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, that goes to extra lengths in order to protect his precious cargo. Even if zombies aren’t your thing…you REALLY need to see this well-done film. Amazing. To AMC’s The Walking Dead- please take note, I love your show, but this is what more of your show should be like! Wow.
Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!
My favorite trailers from today: Elysium, Oblivion (featurette) and Now You See Me. Which ones are your favorites??
