“Trailer Time Thursday!” 4.25.13

April 25, 2013

Today is THURSDAY!!! And you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday!”

Here is your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”)!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

Check them out and ENJOY!!! :)

Trailers:

***I expected a few more trailers to be available today (namely, a new one for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire along with the first Ender’s Game trailer as both are expected this week), but both failed to launch at the time of publication today. Should they hit the web later today, I will update this post and include them! Be sure to check back! 🙂 ***

The Internship (trailer #2). Here’s the second trailer for the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn comedy of a duo who, recently and unexpectedly unemployed, find themselves outside of the age bracket of several other candidates vying for an internship with Google. This comedy plays on many aspects of reality adding laughs along the way. Look for The Internship to begin on June 7.

Much Ado About Nothing (UK trailer). Joss Whedon presents the Shakespearean story in a manner like never before seen with the likes of Amy Acker, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion and more. This romantic comedy centers on two different romantic couples and the ways in which they view and express their love. Nothing seems afoot about this one. Don’t miss Much Ado About Nothing on June 7, 2013.

Thor: The Dark World. Get ready for more Thor. Check out this first trailer for Marvel’s sequel to the story of the Norse god of thunder. Thor returns to Earth and also seeks the help of an unlikely ally in order to defeat a new threat against his family, his world, his love and his life. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston and more star in this Novermber 8, 2013 release!

The Bling Ring (trailer #2). Emma Watson and co-stars present the story of the Beverly Hills Burglars as they play the part of the group of thrill seeking youngsters enthralled by the lifestyles of the rich and the famous and willing to take it for themselves. Although, they must not have finished learning the laws of thermodynamics in school as life teaches them that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Join the gorgeous Emma Watson’s “bling ring”, directed by Sofia Coppola, in June 2013.

Syrup. Marketing marketing marketing. As I watched this trailer, I couldn’t help but think about VOSS water and that it is the image that sells probably the most available resource on the planet for a high dollar. Brittany Snow, Amber Heard, Shiloh Fernandez and Kellan Lutz star in this film of a headhunting idealist who must partner with unlikely counterparts in order to sell and market his multi-million dollar idea of selling a drink that is nothing more than a mixture of two basic ingredients. The idea is that it will sell for millions with just the right image. Will you fall for it on June 7, 2013?

The Great Gatsby (60-sec tv spot). Directed by Baz Luhrmann, prepare for the retelling of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and more. Releasing on May 10 (previously scheduled for Christmas Day 2012), this visual and musical presentation aims to be great. What do you think?

Spotlight Video of the Week:

Fast & Furious 6 featuretteFAST-AND-FURIOUS-6

Check out this featurette giving a little bit more of what to expect and to be excited for with this 6th installment of the surprisingly success franchise of fast cars, women and heists. The crew is back and in a mission unlike any they’ve ever embarked upon against a foe unlike any they’ve ever seen (except maybe in the mirror). Watch the featurette and prepare to put the pedal to the metal on May 24, 2013.

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: Much Ado About Nothing, Thor: The Dark World and The Bling Ring. Which ones are your favorites??

Have to say, I’m looking forward to “The Bling Ring”. I think its gonna be fun and carry its share of social commentary at the same time.

Thor looks great except for that one part where Portman is floating in mid air. 😦

I am pretty interested in the Bling Ring myself. I am glad to see Emma Watson doing more since her HP days

Some good trailers! The highlight – Thor (all because of Loki). The lowlight – The Internship (acccckkkkkk).

I am glad that it looks like Loki will still have a pretty good part in Thor.

I really REALLY hope that Gatsby is great! I’m pretty nervous about it.

I share your sentiments on Gatsby. I really am not certain about it myself. We’ll find out here shortly

Wow, the interns looks a lot like Old School with the putting the ragtag band of outcasts together aspect.

You know that The Internship will still have its fair share of laughs, but, you’re right, it doesn’t look like anything new

    Hi, Terrence:

Whedon’s ‘Much Ado…’ still looks the most interesting. Would make a decent double bill opposite Branagh’s splashy, color rich offering of years ago.

Think Emily Watson might make an intriguing spoiled L.A. brat in ‘The Bling Ring’. Even if it is a bigger budgeted take on the ‘Life Time’ TV movie of the same name.

I am very much looking forward to watching Much Ado. I looks great. Thanks for commenting on the trailers!

Also, I’m happy that Watson is doing so well in further film efforts!
