Today is Tuesday! and if you’ve been coming here for any length of time, you know that, for most people Tuesday is just the day after Monday, but for you it means that “Time to Vote Tuesday” is here!! YES!!!
What is “Time to Vote Tuesday”?:
“Time to Vote Tuesday” is the session of fun weekly polls which spark thought, debate, and intrigue! Each poll closes in a week with results posted on the following ‘TVT’!
Last week’s poll: “Hollywood Loves Heists“ has officially closed and the results are in with 50 total votes. Asking which heist movie is your favorite from a list of heist movies from the year 2000 and on. Some great choices and some great mentions of other heist movies. Thanks to everyone for their input on last week’s poll. Ocean’s Eleven barely took top honors! You should see what movies were also in the running. Be sure to check out the rest of the results in last week’s poll HERE!
Thanks to all that voted and made last week’s poll fun!
This week’s edition of ‘TVT’ entitled “Thank You, Mr. Nolan.” brings another fun poll to you for your consideration.
When asked who the greatest movie director of all time is, there are, undoubtedly, several names that come to mind that may contend for that title. You have Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, M. Night Shyamalan (I’m kidding there! haha, just seeing if you’re paying attention!) 😀
How amazing would it be to have the chance to meet your favorite director and have them offer you ONE piece of memorabilia from one of their movies? Imagine Spielberg offering you John Hammond’s walking cane with the mosquito stuck in amber on the top from Jurassic Park; or Hitchcock offering you the knife used in the shower scene in Psycho; or J.J. Abrams offering you Captain Kirk’s uniform from Star Trek; or Peter Jackson offering you the ring from the Lord of the Rings trilogy?
That would be amazing! A piece of a movie from a director whose work you love!
I like to collect movie memorabilia myself. I have many posters, the watch from Looper and other little trinkets from films; but nothing AS authentic as what was actually used IN the movie. (One day I’ll own something like Andrew Garfield’s mask from The Amazing Spider-Man or Scarlett Johansson’s bracelets from The Avengers).
Well, I really enjoy Christopher Nolan’s work. His new film, Interstellar, looks…well…stellar, and I am equally excited that Hans Zimmer has just signed on to do the score.
- Batman Begins
- The Prestige
- The Dark Knight
- The Dark Knight Rises
- Interstellar (coming soon)
If you were to have a once in a lifetime meeting with Christopher Nolan and, on his desk, were seven items from some of his movies and he offered you the opportunity to take one (ONLY ONE) of those seven items to keep for your own private collection…which item are you carrying out of his office? (click any item for a fullscreen slideshow of items on his desk)
WOW!! What item are you choosing to carry out of his office? Since the items are laying on his desk, there is no option to take the Tumbler from Batman Begins or the Tesla machine from The Prestige or the Bat-Pod from The Dark Knight Rises (and, no…those items aren’t registered with the DMV so there’s no title laying on his desk!). What item from the options below are you eagerly and excitedly taking home?
Thanks for joining me today!
What item did you choose? and why? Let me know in the comment section below! Can’t wait to see the results next week. Be sure to vote before the polls close on 6-11-13. The results will post on next week’s “Time to Vote Tuesday!”
Thanks for reading! Happy Watching!
