Trailers of the Week:

1. American Hustle. An ensemble cast that includes Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams (all of who have been in a superhero movie), and also Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Michael Peña and more. Con artists are conned into working with a federal agent to seek out and arrest other conning criminals of the mobster and political persuasion. They main mark: the mayor of Camdem, New Jersey. Perms, comb-overs and oversized collars in abundance in this Christmas Day 2013 release directed by David O. Russell.

2. Charlie Countryman. Previously called “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman,” this “guy meets girl” story takes place under the rarest of occasions and explodes into further pandemonium as the girl Charlie falls for is the object of a ruthless crime boss’ obsession. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood, Melissa Leo, Mads Mikkelsen and more, this one is set for limited release on November 15, 2013.

3. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Enjoy this latest trailer for this remake of a man who usually finds adventures in his imagination and ventures on one of epic proportions. Adventure and romance are only part of the goals in this film that stars Ben Stiller and Kristin Wigg. Look for it on Christmas Day.

4. I, Frankenstein. This first trailer retells the Frankenstein story with a bit of a supernatural twist that gives a similar feel to that of Priest, Underworld and Blade. Aaron Eckhart stars as the title monster and is in the middle of a war between warring clans of creatures. Check out the trailer and look for it in the movie dumping ground of January 2014.

5. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. The first trailer for this spy thriller based on the Tom Clancy character Jack Ryan stars Chris Pine as the titular character. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and also starring he and Kevin Costner, this reintroduction to Jack Ryan has a Bourne-esque feel about a CIA agent working to expose a recently discovered Russian plot to destroy American economy via a terrorist attack. This is yet another Christmas Day 2013 release.

6. The Invisible Woman. Ralph Fiennes directs and stars in this story about storyteller Charles Dickens and a secret love affair with a younger woman played by Felicity Jones. The author becomes the subject in this time period drama that receives limited US release on Christmas Day 2013.

7. Out of the Furnace. Beginning and ending this set of trailers with Christian Bale movies, here is a new trailer for Out of the Furnace that also stars Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Zoe Saldana, Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shepherd and more. Bale and Affleck star as brothers and their bond is put to the test when Bale must enter the world of underground fighting club criminals in order to find and retrieve his younger hotheaded brother. Justice has a whole different look at that level out of the furnace and into the fire. Prepare for December 6, 2013.
