November 8, 2013

Today is…well, yesterday was THURSDAY!!! And since I wasn’t able to get the trailers to you then, Thursday has officially been extended into today and you know what that means!! 🙂 It is officially time for another fun-filled edition of “Trailer Time Thursday…on Friday!”

Here is your weekly fix of “Triple-T” (aka: “Trailer Time Thursday!”)!!

In case this is your first visit to “Triple-T,” here’s what it’s all about:

Seeing as how everyone loves movie previews, “Trailer Time Thursday!” was created to bring all of the trending trailers that you may have missed in theaters, or just need to see, all in one convenient place! It makes Thursdays so great! Get ready! Your Preview Pandemonium awaits!

Check them out and ENJOY!!! :)

Trailers of the Week:

1. The LEGO Movie. The newest trailer promises tons of laughs in the movie about Legos. Oh, and there’s a bit of a Batman vs. Superman prequel involved. ha. Enjoy this trailer for the toys of legend and childhood imagination that releases on February 7, 2014.

2. RoboCop. Check out this latest trailer for the reintroduction of Detroit’s finest. RoboCop is back. Starring Joel Kinnaman (The Killing), Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers), Michael Keaton (Batman), Gary Oldman (Batman Begins), Abbie Cornish (SuckerPunch) and more, this action star ensemble cast is ready to challenge you to make your next move, creep on February 12, 2014.

3. Vampire Academy. Another trailer for the film based on the best-seller. It seems to deviate from its source but here’s a new trailer for the adolescent wouldbe immortals that hits theaters on February 14th.

4. Oldboy. A new trailer for the Spike Lee remake of the original Oldboy. Starring Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson (who is everywhere these days) and more, this film releases on November 27th.

5. Winter’s Tale. From IMDB: “A burglar falls for an heiress as she dies in his arms. When he learns that he has the gift of reincarnation, he sets out to save her.” Starring Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Russell Crowe, Will Smith, William Hurt, Kevin Durand, Matt Bomer, Jennifer Connelly and more, this tale of love and life hits theaters on February 14th. (Reminds me ever so slightly of Cloud Atlas with elements of reincarnation, star-studded cast, themes and more)

6. The Truth About Emanuel. A girl, deprived from her mother at birth, becomes obsessed with an endearing woman that resembles the mother she never knew. Jessica Biel stars in this drama that releases on January 10th.

7. Ride Along (trailer#2). This semi-buddy cop comedy receives a second trailer with more footage and laughs to hopefully draw audiences. Starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, this lackluster looking comedy with a paint-by-the-numbers plot comes to theaters on January 17.

8. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (new trailer). Ready to continue the journey? Look for this sequel to hit theaters on Dec 13. Starring a great ensemble cast, the characters from the J.R.R. Tolkein adventure come to life.

Spotlight Video of the Week:

Trailer for documentary The Armstrong LieThe_Armstrong_Lie

A documentary about Lance Armstrong and his rise and fall from grace and glory. One of multiple films about the cancer-survivor cyclist known around the world. His legacy lives strong and this documentary presents more of an insight than perhaps previously known. Check it out.

Well, that’s it for this round of ‘Triple-T’!

My favorite trailers from today: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Winter’s Tale and RoboCop.

Which ones are your favorites??

Well, I guess they aren’t going with the extra creepy twist in the “Oldboy” remake.

Not surprised. The original was amazing.

The Lego Movie looks like a hoot! Excited about Hobbit 2 trailer of course, more Thorin please 😀 As for Winter’s Tale, I’m quite intrigued by that, I like the idea of a romance fantasy, and I like that girl who played Sibyl from Downton Abbey!

I was curious what they would do with a Lego Movie. It looks funny. I thought you might like Winter’s Tale. I’m intrigued as well. 🙂

RoboCop looks like it has real potential…and they’ve gone in a different direction to the first film by the looks of things.

…maybe it’s just me, but I’m really not bothered by The Lego Movie.
